Hi Ali,
You have to run the poster on all iocs you care about. You also have to run EPICS access security on those iocs.
You can run the recorder on only one ioc, or on several.

I have caput
R
ecorder support app added to one of my ioc and it works well. The problem is that I cannot trap any caputs from my other iocs. It traps the caputs for only the ioc that has this support added. So my question is this: Do I need to add caputrecorder support to
all iocs that I want to listen to? I am a little confused since I see that the db has this PV
$(P):caputRecorderPrefixes for specifying different prefixes, to record caputs to, but adding the prefixes from my other ioc’s doesn’t work for me.
Thank you
Best, Ali
