Hi Kevin, I'm working on an areaDetector driver for EDT digital camlink framegrabbers which is nearly ready for community use. EDT doesn't make an analog framegrabber though, so I don't know how much help it would be. If you decide to write your own AD driver for your framegrabbers I could make the code available to you for comparison purposes. Cheers, - Bruce On 04/28/2016 03:39 PM, Mark Rivers wrote:
Hi Kevin,
I don't know of any areaDetector support for analog frame grabbers. Is there a hard requirement for analog cameras? There are quite inexpensive GigE cameras now available with areaDetector support. For example, the Point Grey Blackfly cameras are under $500 for 2048x1536 at 35 frames/s, and under $300 for 1280x960 at 52 frames/s.

Subject: Frame grabber for linux box
Hi Folks,
We are setting up Area Detector for an electron gun test stand on a linux box. We intend to use both analog and digital cameras.
Please comment on which frame grabber we should purchase.
Thanks in advance,
Kevin
