RE: synApps 5.8 build issue

Apparently I should have done 'make release' before the build and after updating the configure/RELEASE file. Something must have went wrong when not releasing. The build process went smoothly.

Hello

 

I downloaded the latest synApps version on an Ubunut 16.10 machine. I modified the required RELEASE files to have correct EPICS_BASE and SUPPORT variables. I stopped by this error which I have no idea how to resolve it:

 

*** No rule to make target 'scanProg.o', needed by 'libscanProgress.a'.  Stop

 

The configure/RELEASE file is modified according to the environment as mentioned. I'm not sure what I am missing here. The file 'scanProg.o' does not exist in the folder  sscan-2-10-1/sscanApp/src/O.linux-x86 . Any help is really appreciated.
