Question about ASYN setting Input & Output EOS

Setting the input and output EOS fails for me.
A portion of my startup script:

drvAsynIPPortConfigure("CFHT", "128.171.83.145:8912 HTTP", 10, 0, 1)
asynOctetSetInputEos("CFHT",0,"\n")
Set EOS failed: CFHT setInputEos not implemented
asynOctetSetOutputEos("CFHT",0,"\n")
Set EOS failed: CFHT setOutputEos not implemented

What might be the problem? Did we not compile something into the ASYN module?
