The page http://www.aps.anl.gov/epics/base/R3-14/12-docs/AppDevGuide/node10.html in section 9.2.5 contains the line dbgr)"aitest.VAL"). I suspect dbgr is supposed to be followed with an open parenthesis. I apologize if this is the wrong place for this. Iain.
