I suspect you didn’t do a ‘make clean’ when you added the INSTALL_LOCATION setting, and as a result you have a lot of dependency files (*.d) in your O.linux-x86_64 directories which depend on the old locations, i.e. with the include directory inside the source tree. That explains why the error message is from make (and not from gcc). Try starting again from a clean source tree and I think (hope) you’ll find the problem goes away. - Andrew
