Hi Iain, What do you plan to use areaDetector for? R1-9-1 is over 5 years old. Does it have what you need?
Mark From: [email protected] <[email protected]>
On Behalf Of Iain Marcuson I am attempting to install EPICS from the NSLS-II packages at
https://epics.nsls2.bnl.gov/debian/, specifically using the wheezy repo. When I try to install the package epics-areadetector, I get the following error: Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable distribution that some required packages have not yet been created or been moved out of Incoming. The following information may help to resolve the situation: The following packages have unmet dependencies: epics-areadetector : Depends: libareadetector1.9 but it is not going to be installed Depends: libtiff4 (> 3.9.5-3~) but it is not installable Recommends: edm-areadetector (= 1.9.1+dfsg1-1) but it is not going to be installed Recommends: libareadetector1.9 (= 1.9.1+dfsg1-1) but it is not going to be installed E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages. When I look in aptitude, I can install libtiff4-dev, but the package description seems to indicate that libtiff4 is deprecated. What steps can I take to install EPICS on this computer?
