Hello, In the past, I’ve written ASYN drivers to access GPIO, ADC, DAC, SPI based devices, from the PiFace, GertBoard, LogiPI as well as others, and MEDM screens for visualization, for example. Other alternatives are through the sysfs [using echo commands in a bash script] and WiringPi from Gordon Henderson [https://projects.drogon.net/raspberry-pi]. Years ago, started with Pete Jemian’s instructions [http://prjemian.github.io/epicspi] to get going, then the sky’s the limit. There’s quite a bit out there. Enjoy !
