There is getPVByName() but it works only for PVs attached to a widget (e.g.: via rules and scripts).

Something like: getPVvalue( "my:py:value") or getDouble( "my:pv:value" ) I dont want to include the value of the PV in the input PV list, because is a high amount of PV and the name would depend on the utility of the OPI. Thank you very much in advance. Pilar --
