Re: print all information about a PV including units

Just to add to what Mark said.
A record name is not allowed to have a character '.' as part of the name.

The AppDevGuide states:

> record name The record name. This must be composed out of only the 
> following characters: a-z A-Z 0-9 _ - + : [ ] < > ;

In  "BMH:MQC2LE:POS.PXP.EGU" the first '.' indicates the end of the 
record name.
So the record name is "BMH:MQC2LE:POS".
Strange things can happen if you try to create a record with a '.' in 
the record name.
