Hi Pierrick, addRecord.h is part of Marty Kraimer's pvDatabase module, which is part of EPICS 7.0.3. If you've built Base-7.0.3 properly with the V4 submodules it should have been installed into the include/pv directory when that submodule was built. If you built Base-7.0.3 from a git clone instead of from the tar-file, did you use 'git clone --recursive' to check it out? Running 'git submodule status' should list 6 submodules. If it doesn't, running 'git submodule update --init' should pull in the necessary submodules, after which a 'make' at the top level will build them. Hi, I'm attempting to learn to use structured data in EPICS7 and so looking at the tutorials. I find it a bit difficult to navigate because many of the tutorials point back to v4, which I understand, but then I don't know if there's something newer (hence the difficulty in navigation). I found a recent post on tech-talk, msg01128, and am attempting to build exampleCPP from "https://github.com/epics-base". However, when trying to build exampleDatabase.cpp, it fails on missing addRecord.h, which doesn't exist in this example code nor in base-7.0.3. Thanks, Pierrick -- Complexity comes for free, Simplicity you have to work for. |
