Hi Mark,
Thank you for letting me know. Yes, there are two different PVs such as Temperature and TemperatureActual.
Best,
Jong Woo

I should have also said that $(P)$(R)TemperatureActual is the measured temperature of the camera. $(P)$(R)Temperature is an output PV used to set the desired temperature of the camera, and is not supported on the AVT cameras. It is mostly used with cooled scientific cameras, such as those from Andor, Princeton Instruments, etc. Mark ________________________________ From: Mark Rivers Sent: Tuesday, August 4, 2020 5:55 PM To: Jong Woo Kim Cc: tech-talk at aps.anl.gov Subject: Re: Temperature in camera. Hi Jong Woo, I think the problem is that you are looking at 2 different PVs. I suspect you are running camonitor on $(P)$(R)Temperature, but that in medm you are looking at $(P)$(R)TemperatureActual To find out what PV medm is displaying right-click on the medm screen, select "PV Info" and then left-click on the widget you are interested in. It will pop up a window with information about the PV, including the name, the host, the value, etc. Here is the camonitor output of both PVs on an AVT GT1380 camera: corvette:local/idl_user/tomography>camonitor 13IDBPS1:cam1:Temperature 13IDBPS1:cam1:TemperatureActual 13IDBPS1:cam1:Temperature 2020-04-09 17:51:36.212120 25 13IDBPS1:cam1:TemperatureActual 2020-08-04 17:53:48.274860 33.062 13IDBPS1:cam1:TemperatureActual 2020-08-04 17:53:49.273667 33.031 Mark ________________________________ From: Tech-talk <tech-talk-bounces at aps.anl.gov> on behalf of Jong Woo Kim via Tech-talk <tech-talk at aps.anl.gov> Sent: Tuesday, August 4, 2020 5:44 PM To: tech-talk at aps.anl.gov Subject: Temperature in camera. Hi, The temperature of camera indicated on the status in ADVimba medm is different from the one in camonitor. The former varies around 52 deg., but the latter is always 25 deg. Which one is true? Camera is Mako G-507B. Thanks, Jong Woo |
