I reproduced the problem with Ubuntu 18.04.2, medm 3.1.9, base 7.0.4. The problem does not occur if I run medm on a Centos 7 machine but displaying on the Ubuntu 18 machine. This is with medm 3.1.9 and base 7.0.4. This means the problem does not appear to be with the X11 server, it is with the medm client
code. Mark From: Tech-talk <tech-talk-bounces at aps.anl.gov>
On Behalf Of Siddons, David via Tech-talk If, in MEDM edit mode, I try to change the numeric format for a field (say, from decimal to engineering), MEDM crashes with: *** stack smashing detected ***: terminated
Aborted This is on Ubuntu 20.04, MEDM Version 3.1.15, EPICS 3.15.6
