Did I understood correctly that you do not directly communicate with the motor controllers from your motor driver but use Prevac windows driver dll as backend to handle the communication?
SMCD14s have a Modbus over TCP interface and I had in mind to operate them directly from an IOC bypassing any parts of the Prevac software. Did you have a look into this option for your SMCD10/12s?

I've been working on a motor driver for the SMCD10/12 motor controllers based on Prevac's Windows driver dll interface. It's not quite finished yet, but a good start. If you are interested and this is an option for you, I could share the current state of the project.
