Hi John, You are correct to be confused. The FileFormat PV comes from the asynNDArrayDriver base class, and is documented here: https://areadetector.github.io/master/ADCore/NDArray.html#asynndarraydriver
However, that PV is not used in the ADPilatus driver, and so does not belong on the OPI screens. I have removed the PVs from the OPI screens and tweaked the layout. I have pushed to the master branch of ADPilatus on Github. Mark From: Tech-talk <tech-talk-bounces at aps.anl.gov>
On Behalf Of John Dobbins via Tech-talk I want to write cbf files from a Pilaus detector. I understand this is selected by the choice of the file extension in $(P)$(R)FileTemplate. On the MEDM screen I also see a $(P)$(R)FileFormat menu mux which offers the choices TIFF | Invalid. This PV isn't mentioned in the documentation: So, I am a little confused. Thanks.
