Hi Michael,
areaDetector does have a driver for Photonic Science cameras: https://github.com/areaDetector/ADPSL
This is from the documentation:
This leads me to think that they still do not provide an SDK for controlling their cameras, and still just use a socket interface to their standalone GUI program. I don't see anything to indicate that the cameras have a GenICam interface.
I had issues in the past where they changed the API of their socket server, requiring non-backwards compatible changes to the ADPSL driver.

is anyone using a recent FDS Detector from Photonic Science with EPICS? Assumed that the vendor can deliver this camera with a Genicam interface, the ADAravis module could probably handle it. But prior to the purchase of this camera, I would like to know if someone has any experience with it.
Best regards, Michael
