Hi all,
In CA, I am used to seeing alarm severity being {NO_ALARM, MINOR, MAJOR, INVALID}. EDM for instance will then colour the widget {default, yellow, red, white} if the PV is connected or display a white box instead of the widget if the PV is not connected.
In PVA (according to the
normative types doc) we have {noAlarm, minorAlarm, majorAlarm, invalidAlarm, undefinedAlarm}. My guess is that undefinedAlarm was added to indicate "PV is disconnected somewhere", but I can't find that written down anywhere.
So, my questions are:
Thanks,
Tom
