Thank you for the link, I did not realize I needed the pyCF client.
I've installed it, but having some confusion with the README file.
I've created the .conf file and it placed it in the "/etc" directory, but don't know where the next two spots are referring to.
~/.channelfinderapi.conf`
I'm not familiar with Linux so, sorry for the questions.

as for RecCeiver, it is installed alongside with sqlite3 and twistd.
When running twistd, it only works when using the demo.conf. Using cf.conf I get this an error:
