Hi Kuktae, This is probably not what you are looking for, or at least not nearly the full story, but maybe helps: https://github.com/epics-base/pvAccessCPP/wiki/protocol Also, Michael Davidsaver has written documentation for PVXS: https://mdavidsaver.github.io/pvxs/overview.html This goes a bit more in the direction of user documentation. And, partially, but not only because of this, we are preparing an EPICS Document-athon at ESS end of August (28.August – 1.September, 2023).
I will prepare an announcement – or first “save the date” kind of message – for that event as soon as I can figure out some details. But we have an OK for the event so it is going to
happen. Best regards, Timo From: Tech-talk <tech-talk-bounces at aps.anl.gov> on behalf of "Kim, Kuktae via Tech-talk" <tech-talk at aps.anl.gov> Hello everyone, I am currently studying EPICS Channel Access (CA) and PV Access (PVAccess and PVXS), particularly the server/client-side environment variables used for run-time configuration. While researching,
I came across very good documentation for EPICS CA, which can be found in the links below: However, I am having difficult finding good documentation for PVA on the EPICS base site: Although, I did find some information on the PVXS site thanks to Michael Davidsaver, I still feel that is not sufficient. Here is the link to the information I found: Could someone please point me in the direction of a reference document that provides more comprehensive information on PVA? Thank you very much for your help. Best regards, Kuktae |
