Thanks to everyone who offered, I have just received an mbox file with the missing messages in it. I will try to add them this afternoon if I get time — it’s performance appraisal season at Argonne right now and I have talks to write for next week too!

The mailing list archive should now be fixed, my apologies to those who rely on the RSS feeds to read messages.

 

If anyone else out there keeps an mbox archive of tech-talk and can extract the missing messages from it I would be happy to receive a copy and upload them to restore the lost history.

I have asked our IT group to look into this again, they fixed something on August 28th but I didn’t notice it had immediately broken again. I’ll try to follow up with them more closely, the absence of the archive also means the RSS feeds aren’t posting either, unfortunately.

Perhaps the RSS feed might not have been updated, as well (I'm not
subscribing the RSS so I'm not sure).

Is something wrong with the mailman, or is this intentional?
