Hi all,

recently I proposed a meeting before the EPICS meeting in October.
It seems that the core group will be only represented by Marty, Jeff, Bob and I during the EPICS meeting.
This does not look like having a quorum for a core meeting.
(The room is still booked but will be canceled in due time)
From the point of view of the EPICS Office we will need some directions which we hopefully also can gather by email and other tools.

For the EPICS meeting I am hoping for a detailed presentation of EPICS V4. There will be many participants which will hear about V4 the first time. There's also no oral on ICALEPCS about EPICS-V4 except the presentation on EPICS-Office. We should give a good overview and point out where we are. Also the roadmap should be presented. The same will happen for EPICS Office. Specially for the Office we will try to collect requirements which are related to the CA-V4 interface. The applications themselves will come later. Who might be the one to give this presentation? - Volunteers? I think this will take more than 15 minutes - more like 20-25 minutes and 5-10 minutes discussion.

EPICS Office is getting momentum - some contracts are placed or in the queue (see my Office mail on [email protected] if you are subscribed).

Take care.
-Matthias
