>Any EPICS installations I know are running under 5.1.<something>. That would be 5.1mm where the mm is my Multiple Memc support and A24 mapping changes in the BSP. The general deal with the BSPs is that they are almost useless out of the box and that some local mods to deal with the A32 and A24 spaces are required for some of the EPICS drivers, like the NI1014 and HiDEOS interfaces. At APS we also up the file descriptor limit and play some games with the current working directory path before the startup file is executed. I have JUST installed 5.2 here are am embarking on merging the BSP mods into the new release. (Might have done it earlier if WRS hadn't sent us an HP distribution instead of the SUN one... and I hear that we were not the only site that this happened to.) --John
