I am having NFS file IO problems on my EPICS IOC. I am curious if any of you
have encountered anything similar.
I want to read a file from an NFS mounted disk and use data to post to EPICS
records on the IOC. The time to read the file is quite long, and seems to vary
anywhere from 5 or 6 seconds up to 40 or 50 seconds. When I try the same file
access without having EPICS running, the file read happens very quickly (< 1
sec). Although the file is large (~600k), 40 or 50 seconds to load is long
enough to cause problems for my application.
I am using an mv2304 running EPICS R13.0Beta12.
Any advice or help you can give me will be greatly appreciated. I searched the
tech-talk archives regarding this issue, but did not find anything directly
related.
