Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System
I have encountered a peculiar problem. The EPICS "scanppl" command
(function) can only be executed once and generate output. The second
and succeeding executions produce no output. This is true both for the
console port and for telnet connections.
Now it gets interesting. If the telnet connection is terminated and
then reestablished, the "scanppl" command works again (both for the
telnet and console port connection) but still only once. Also, we see
this only for our PPC platforms (MVME2301 and MVME2304); the MVME162
processors allow multiple executions of "scanppl".
We are currently using version R3.13.4 of EPICS. Anyone have an
explanation?
