The EPICS is a set of highly reliable open source control software, developed and used worldwide for scientific applications. EPICS started as a collaboration between the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) and the Argonne National Laboratory (ANL) in the United States. Many more organizations in Europe and the United States have joined the EPICS group.
