I suspect that there isn't a CA Repeater (a daemon that fans out UDP
messages to multiple clients in the same host) listening at
134.79.64.51:5069, but that the IOC's CA server is configured to send
beacons to this address.
Does EPICS_CA_ADDR_LIST include the address 134.79.64.51?
Note that the CA client's search addresses and CA server's beacon addresses
can be configured independently by using _both_ EPICS_CA_ADDR_LIST and EPICS
CAS_BEACON_ADDR_LIST. The details are in the CA Reference Manual. I am also
happy to answer more detailed questions that you might have.
Happy New Year to all,
Jeff
