Re: EPICS and MEDM on ubuntu

Hello Nalaka

First get EPICS base fixed before you try to do MEDM.

When compiling base, you got:

> make[3]: /usr/bin/g++: Command not found

This looks very bad. Make sure g++ is installed. I was quite sure that 
this is installed on Ubuntu by default, but maybe I am wrong. Or it is 
installed somewhere else? If it installed somewhere else, you need to 
fix the path in the EPICS makefile, which is complicated for a beginner.

What do you get when you type 'g++'? What do you get for 'which g++'?

I get this:

$ g++
g++: no input files

$ which g++
/usr/bin/g++

If you do not see something like this, get the C++ compiler installed first.
