Yes, we can certainly go over the database.
I think the link alarm is not a problem. If the soft motor record processes and gets a value from a record with UDF==1, it should be in link alarm.

We actually got the slit working in the motion controller. I have, anyway, used the 2slit.db, mainly for testing & learning. For the motor module, I use a patched version, which keeps the record in UDF state, until the poller has really talked to the controller. As a result, the soft motors sometimes (depending on the timing) stay in "link alarm". A movement will make the alarm disappear. Do you think we can go through the db file next week, some help is wanted.
