The Advanced Photon Source has a number of Oxford cryopumps. A number of these used the FMB Oxford software written with Zenon tools. Impossible to integrate into anything else. However, the control computer was just using Modbus to talk to the hardware and the control hardware so after some effort was made to obtain a full list of what all the Modbus addresses were, a softIOC was created and deployed to a number of beam lines here and have been running well for the last couple of years. Oxfords current software for that hardware appears to be CryoConnector. A couple of DLL’s, _javascript_ for the Gui, xml files for cryopump legal commands, and which still look Modbus-like.. The communications hardware appears to be usb or Ethernet. If the communications really is Modbus, should be easy to identify the addresses of interest and repurpose any of the existing softIOC’s for your purpose. Me From: [email protected] <[email protected]> On Behalf Of Allan Serra Braga Bugyi Hello everybody, I couldn't find any topic talking about Oxford Cryosystems Controller driver support but these: https://epics.anl.gov/tech-talk/2006/msg00986.php https://epics.anl.gov/tech-talk/2007/msg01579.php https://epics.anl.gov/tech-talk/2006/msg00985.php https://epics.anl.gov/tech-talk/2012/msg02022.php
