database could big data, compute and analyse

Folks, 

     We want a data center, which could dispose huge data storage, spectrosmic analysis, big data.

     About the database, I want to use epics database directly.

     But we do not know the ability on huge data of epics database, such as detector images.

     Then I saw scidb( https://epics.anl.gov/meetings/2011-06/sys/data/24/scidb.pdf ), i think it was good.

     But i haven't saw the scidb progress in channel archiver. we don't know whether channel archiver use scidb or not.

So i want to ask.

1.  Does the sciDb used in channel archiver now?

2.  Was it good for data center (big data storage, compute and analyse) ?        

     we were not good at the database, any suggestion was appreciate.
