Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System
As the song goes: “You can check out, but you can never leave”
Two years ago, I ventured out on the road of a new and exciting opportunity, after 17 years developing EPICS based accelerator control systems. The change was interesting, I enjoyed it and certainly learned a number of new skills.
However, I found that I really missed the science, working on accelerators and particularly missed my colleagues and the buzz of the EPICS Community.
One of the amazing things about the development of EPICS based systems, is the sheer diversity of applications and technology and this is the reason that I am returning as a freelancer, so that I can enjoy developing and delivering software solutions, potentially across multiple projects.
So, with renewed vigour and a change in lifestyle, I am now open for opportunities to provide development effort, flexibly on short to medium term contract basis. I am available to work either remotely or on-site when necessary.
Please feel free to contact me, even if simply to discuss ideas.
