Hello Jakob,
We use CNI3253-C24-DC for rack temperature control applications. We use simple StreamDevice commands to read temperature and write setpoints based on the following manual: omega_CNi16_communications.pdf (lbl.gov) <https://bl831.als.lbl.gov/~gmeigs/PDF/omega_CNi16_communications.pdf>. Let me know if you want further information.
Regards,
Ibrahim

Hello all,
Before I begin making plans to develop a new driver for this purpose, has anyone developed EPICS support for the Omega Platinum Series of PID controllers?
The specific model I am thinking of is the CN8PT-445 <https://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/www.omega.com/en-us/control-monitoring/controllers/pid-controllers/cnpt-series/p/CN8PT-445__;!!P4SdNyxKAPE!RuW7rPRdkZim6RfEue8xjGK3dGbThRuqiIOrWPWWzvCms3KejRnn0K9zv-pfug$>, however, based on my preliminary research it seems that the communication protocols are shared between the models in the Platinum line:
https://bl831.als.lbl.gov/~gmeigs/PDF/CN8_serial_comm.pdf <https://bl831.als.lbl.gov/~gmeigs/PDF/CN8_serial_comm.pdf>
If anyone has had a chance to work with one of these and develop an EPICS driver for it, please let me know!
Thanks,
Jakub
