That command would be useful to reduce buffering in the TetrAMM when using it for fast feedback. I tried updating to firmware 3.3.03 today, but the update failed. Has anyone else tried such an update?

Hi, Mark!

Yes, a few weeks ago, I tried to upgrade the firmware on one of my
TetrAMMs from version 2.0.09 to version 3.3.03, but it only got to 2%
complete and then said the upgrade of the firmware failed and said
something about it having lost connection with the device, I think.

I was running the CAENels Device Manager software on Windows 11 for
ARM64 running in a VM on an ARM64 Mac, though, so Device Manager, which
is x86-64, was running under Windows's built-in x86-64 emulation, and
that all made me wonder whether maybe the Device Manager software just
didn't work right under those conditions.

V1.5 of the TetrAMM User Manual describes the GATE command, which allows collecting data only when a signal level is high. The EPICS quadEM driver supports that command, and we use it with firmware 2.9.11. Versions 3.2 and 4.1 of that manual do not describe the GATE command. Does anyone know if that command has been eliminated in more recent firmware, or is it an oversight in the manual?

No idea. As you probably noticed, there are still references to the
GATE command in version 4.1 of the TetrAMM User's Manual, which I can
find by searching for GATE, but it's not listed as an actual command.

Regards,

Lewis
