When you say "stops", what does that mean? Does the process die? In which case, is there a core file? Or does the HTTP endpoint become unresponsive? In which case, have you tried sending a kill -SIGQUIT to see what's going on? There's usually some info in the
stdout/stderr ( catalina.out or catalina.err ) in case of system issues. Do you see anything there?
