ALS/ALS-U Principal Instrumentation Engineer position

Hello everyone,

If you wanna live in the San Francisco Bay Area, a place with great weather 

(imagine a place that never snows, but also never too hot, with temperatures 

ranging from 10 to 22 C or 50 to 70 F), to work on a variety of Instrumentation 

projects, I have something for you.

ALS/ALS-U has a Principal Instrumentation Electronics Engineer position 

that I thought might be of interest to some of you.

The position involves designing and implementing electronic instrumentation and
data acquisition systems for particle accelerators and potentially other experiments.

Some of the projects that the Instrumentation group is currently involved in are:
Beam Position Monitor (BPM), Timing system, Fast Orbit Feedback (FOFB),
FPGA-based high speed digitizers and Fast Machine Protection system.
