EPICS Collaboration Meeting
The registration website is now open, please register! Registration should close on about June 1st. Entrance to Argonne National Laboratory for anyone who is not a US Citizen requires extra paperwork which takes several days to process, so late registrations may not be possible. Foreign nationals will get an email after they have registered with a link to another online form that must be submitted to be approved for admittance to the lab.
The call for presentations on EPICS-related work is also now open, please send your talk titles by email to <email@example.com>. A short abstract explaining the subject of the talk may be included but is only required if your title doesn't make that obvious. We will have sessions for lightning talks (5 minutes with no questions) as well as regular talks (15 minutes + 5 for questions) — please be sure to indicate if you are submitting a lightning talk, we will assume it's a regular talk unless you tell us otherwise. If there is sufficient demand we may have split some of the plenary sessions into parallel sessions.
There are a limited number of places available for a tour of Argonne on the Tuesday afternoon, which will include the APS and the ALCF super-computing facility. Sign up for the tour on your registration form, first come first served.
We have reserved a block of rooms at the Argonne Guest House which is just a short walk from the APS facility (details can be found on the Lodging page), or there are a number of other hotels within a few minutes driving distance of the Argonne site. We are not able to provide shuttle transportation, so to get to the conference dinner on Thursday evening or to visit nearby restaurants on other evenings you may need access to a rental car.
The optional conference dinner will be held off-site at a near-by barbeque restaurant, with tickets costing $30 paid in advance with your registration fee. Companions are welcome to attend this event, just indicate the number of tickets you will need when registering.
Unfortunately we have to charge a small conference registration fee (now reduced to $50 per person thanks to our sponsors) to cover some of our costs.
