Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System
Hello:
I am installing an NI-1014 into a VME crate and wish to have it talk to a DG535
digital delay generator via a GPIB-488 bus, under EPICS. I have the complete
manuals for both the NI-1014 and the DG535. I also have a copy of "GPIB Device
Support" by John Winans (dated 9/93).
When I first attempted this about 2 years ago, I had some problems with the
interfacing (I was using EPICS R3.13.0beta4). I remember using a generic driver
of some kind that allowed me to do some rudimentary communications. I am hoping
someone has done some more work in this area and/or updated some documentation
since then. I really need to get this up and running ASAP. Can anyone out there
assist me?
TIA
