Hello All,
We had a small group get
together to discuss the future direction of archiving, the requirements for high
level applications, and the way that Channel Access could evolve to support high
level applications. The meeting notes, as well as a task list are attached. If
you find that there are some high level application requirements that are
missing, you may want to take a little time and send them. We believe that if we
are successful in encapsulating the communication requirements for high level
applications, we will be able to produce clients that can use any data on the
network and produce results that can then be served to any other client. This
should give us a tremendous amount of flexibility in developing high level
applications.
Best Wishes,
Bob
