In case some people haven't heard what's happening at Wind River Systems,
the following news story gives some interesting information about the
future of vxWorks/Tornado:

APS will obviously be following this and watching for the possible effects
on EPICS; while not wanting to cause unnecessary concern to other sites it
may be that the work on porting EPICS to other Operating Systems will come
to fruition at just the right time...
