Note that there's also a second variable called
COMPAT_313
that can be set to YES to allow 3.13 IOC applications to be built.
Btw: All of this is explicitly covered in the 3.14.5 Release Notes, but
I know that such information always has a strong tendency to be in the
one place that you don't look for it.
