Hello,
may I ask once again for drivers: Is someone using carrier boards on VME-systems running RTEMS together with A/D- and D/A-converter Industry Packs?
We would like to install Industry Packs with 16bit A/D and D/A converters respectively with a throuput of >=100kHz. We shortlist the IP235 from Acromag, A/Dconverter and the IP-ADC-8401 from Hytec.
I've had this working but backed off the Hytec modules because I found a PMC module with more channels/$$ (64 parallel 16-bit ADCs). Also, IP modules are really slow whereas the PMC module sits on the PCI bus allowing for much higher throughput. It features a FIFO and DMA engine. I have RTEMS/EPICS drivers for this card (PMC16AI64SS by general standards inc.)

BTW: note that the hytec IP carrier driver's hotswap support isn't compatible
with real-time critical applications.
We would be grateful, if someone would be able to make the necessary EPICS driver/device support modules available to us.
