Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System
Hi Pete,
We have support for the TSP function in the MPC using RS232.
It is included in the "ip" application in recent versions of the
"synApps" package.
http://www.aps.anl.gov/aod/bcda/synApps/ip/ip.html
The R2-4 release for EPICS 3.14.7, which uses "asyn 4-1" is available
now.
The R2-5 release for EPICS 3.14.7, which uses "asyn 4-2-1" will be
available next week.
Note that the required modules lists "ipac", but that is only if you
want to use the SBS IP-Octal serial module. These releases will work
with any serial port that asyn supports, which includes local serial
ports on vxWorks, Windows, Linux and Unix, and TCP/IP terminal servers
on all platforms.

Subject: Digitel MPC - TSP - RS232 Interface
Has anyone out there used the Digitel MPC RS232 interface
to control the TSP functionality?
I have no problem with any of the ion pump commands,
but confusing things are happening when I try to
control the TSP - and in particular set it to timed mode.
(hex command 27)
