Now I find the following: while dm works just fine on KDE, edd doesn't,
or at least copying and pasting doesn't, but gives me a clipboard error.
The solution to this is to switch back to gnome (where I knew this
> worked before, and it still works now) just for the editing, which I did
from a different machine to save me the logging out and running everything else back up. (the parts of edd that do work on KDE require double mouse clicks)
Aloha,
Maren
I use KDE as a desktop, and even though my Linux box is not hosting EDD/DM, the clipboard still messes it up. I found that closing the lttle clipboard (klipper?) down in the corner of the screen fixed things up. Drove me crazy for the longest time.
Funny that an icon should cause this, but after removing it it's not giving me clipbard errors anymore, just as Rod says.
