Hi all!
However, if you are trying to use GUI/RCP (rich client platform), it opens up another big debate between SWT/JFace (Eclipse) and AWT/Swing (pure Java?) which I don't think I'd like to get in in Friday afternoon.

For a pittance (~$50 US) you can get a license for MyEclipse--a rather well done suite of plug-ins for various things. One of the various things is Matisse support for Eclipse. I've been using it for a while now--well worth the $50!
