Please note that R3.14.8.2 was released several months before your 
report, on 6th January 2006.  The latest version of EPICS Base is 
R3.14.9 and should not exhibit your bug, but I did make the fix too 
strict for some applications which were relying on being able to use 
non-monotonic tables; see recent tech-talk messages for details and a fix.
