Doesn't the Axis server do some (lossy?) compression? Pete.
There is one potential major issue with a video server though. There is a slight delay between frame acquisition at the camera and frame acquisition at the computer. That is with a frame grabber you have real time visualization. With a video server, you have a delay of .5 sec, up to 1sec. That delay could become an issue if you *fast* feedback on acquired frames.
