Ø We're using
XC5VSX95T-1FF1136I (Virtex 5SX family with 1136 BGA package). The large DSP block (640 DSP48 blocks, mainly for high speed BPM filter) is main reason for the decision. It is pin to pin compatible with Virtex5 FX70 chip (which was used on the 507 demo board, it has 128 DSP48 blocks
Ø And have implemented a standard interface between the analog and digital portions. This allows us to customize the IO portion. We are embedded an event receiver into the digital portion of the board.
