Hi Troy,
I am quite sure I ran into that same problem on a Windows 7 32-bit system recently.
I worked around the problem by not installing the 2011 1.42 or 1.41 builds of the EPICS Windows Tools, but rather installing the 1.40 build from 2007. I did not take much time to investigate, but I'm quite sure that worked.
Mark

Subject: medm and Xming on Windows 7 64 bit
We are setting up an IOC for HPSync. The IOC seems to startup fine, but there are problems with the display. We have installed Xming as described in:
http://controls.web.psi.ch/cgi-bin/twiki/view/Main/HowToSetupEPICSWin32
Probe, alarm handler, strip tool, etc all work fine from the icons in the win32 tools folder.
Medm gives the following error in the Xconsole
[medm]
MEDM Version 3.1.5: Loading aliased fonts.................
SIGSEGV
Does anybody have experience with Xming and medm?
Thanks in advance,
Troy
