Is the checksum a fixed length? If so you could do: - Set terminator to be the constant character - Read to terminator - Set no terminator - Read with length=checksum length Mark From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]]
On Behalf Of Andrew Gomella Hi, Is it possible to do this? My serial device always responds with the same ASCII character code followed by a checksum. My current implementations of both serial device and asyn have considerable issues with this because it relies on the read timing out rather than
end of string being reached. Thanks, Andrew
