Hi Elliot,
No, synApps_5_7 is not compatible with base-3.15.1. synApps_5_8 will be compatible with both 3.14 and 3.15, but it's not ready for release. You can get a snapshot of almost synApps_5_8 like this:

I built base-3.15.1. In synApps_5_7/support I ran make release make clean make The build fails with the error:
make[4]: Entering directory `/opt/epics/synApps_5_7/support/sscan-2-9/sscanApp/src/O.linux-x86_64' make[4]: *** No rule to make target `sscanSupport.dbd', needed by `../../../dbd/sscanSupport.dbd'. Stop. make[4]: Leaving directory `/opt/epics/synApps_5_7/support/sscan-2-9/sscanApp/src/O.linux-x86_64'
Is synApps_5_7 compatible with base-3.15.1?
